Paul P. Greene, 83, longtime owner of Wick and Greene Jewelers in Asheville, N.C., died Nov. 6 at his home.
Born in 1928, Greene spent most of his childhood on a farm. He eventually formed a relationship with E.O. Wick of Pick-Wick Jewelers, working for him after school. After service in the U.S. Navy, Greene became a partner in the business, which was renamed Wick and Greene Jewelers.
Greene supported many causes including the local Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lucia, children Michael and Paula, and three grandchildren.
