Art Jewelry Forum (AJF) is seeking a new executive director, after Yvonne Montoya, who has held the post since 2018, announced she is leaving the San Antonio–based educational group.
“For a period of time, I’ve been dealing with health complications,” Montoya wrote in a mass email. “After much consideration and consultation, I’m taking my doctor’s advice to focus fully on my health and recovery, which regrettably means stepping down from my position as executive director.”
Montoya’s last day heading AJF will be Friday, May 3.
“I’ve loved my time with AJF,” she wrote. “I’m especially proud of the things we accomplished together during my five years as executive director, and the knowledge that I leave AJF in a strong position, poised to take the next step forward.”
