Jewelry designer Anna Zuckerman, founder of emerging demi-fine jewelry brand Anna Zuckerman Luxury, announced this week that she will open the brand’s first-ever store, a flagship in Boca Raton, Fla., on Feb. 1.
Zuckerman creates affordable collections in platinum-plated sterling silver that nod to modern fine jewelry trends but also reflect big-sparkle red carpet glamour. In the tradition of midcentury costume jewelry, Zuckerman’s collections are quality-built—a fact underscored by the full two-year warranty the brand attaches to every piece. And the jewelry is so sparkle-heavy, its metals are almost beside the point. The line glistens with lab-grown gemstone and high-grade cubic zirconia coated with carbon (using nanotechnology), resulting in a sparkling stone Zuckerman has trademarked Diamond Crystalline. Prices for core pieces in the collection hover around $200.
“The demand for price-conscious luxury jewelry is very high,” Zuckerman tells JCK. “During these difficult times, spending frivolously and recklessly is unconscionable. We are bringing an essential edge to an untapped market. We are making luxury accessible to everyone.”
Best sellers in the collection always include tiaras “for weddings, bat mitzvahs, and quinceañeras,” she says. “Tiaras are timeless heirlooms passed down from generation to generation.”
The newly built 900-square-foot store in the Mizner Park shopping center will boast acrylic turquoise and malachite panels that echo some of the colors in the collection. Built by Boca Raton’s Albanese Development, the slick and glamorous space will feature a long row of padded benches for consultations. “Everything lends itself to contemporary royal Hollywood glamour, from concept to design,” Zuckerman notes.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the boutique will strictly follow CDC-mandated guidelines, including mask wearing and social distancing. Zuckerman says she’s developed a proprietary-blend antiseptic that “both cleans jewelry flawlessly and disinfects any surface, from disease including COVID-19. It will be used to disinfect the store thoroughly every hour on the hour. Anything touched by human hands will be cleaned meticulously, especially the jewelry worn. Safety barriers are in place and masks will be enforced to ensure multiple layers of protection for clients and staff.”
The jewelry entrepreneur grew up in a family of goldsmiths and fine jewelers, and worked in the jewelry industry for over 20 years, eventually opening a fine jewelry store in Wisconsin in 1996.
With her own collection, she hopes to be something of a modern fairy godmother, sprinkling sparkle on women to brighten their spirits. “I want to empower every woman today to embrace her beauty, confidence, and inner strength,” she says. “No need for long-term wish lists or saving up. Every woman deserves to sparkle now.”
