Alrosa has appointed a new chief financial officer and vice president.
Alexey Filippovskiy will oversee financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and investor relations for the Russian diamond miner. Previously those functions were done by two now-departed vice presidents. He will begin Aug. 28.
For the past two years, Filippovskiy has been the CFO of Siberian Generating Company, an energy company.
In addition, the company has put Sergey Barsukov (pictured) in charge of liaison with public authorities.
Barsukov was most recently director of financial policy for the Russian Federation Ministry of Finance. He has also served as a member of Alrosa’s supervisory board since 2011.
