The American Jewelry Design Council (AJDC) has named Paul Klecka (pictured) as its new president.
Klecka, a veteran designer, replaces Linda MacNeil, who opted not to accept a second term.
Since his start in 1982, Klecka has worked as a design consultant to GIA, Stuller, and Hearts On Fire.
His industry service includes serving as director and marketing committee chair for the American Gem Society, director and PR committee chair for the AJDC, and a board director of the Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America.
“Like many organizations affected by the events of the past year, the American Jewelry Design Council must explore new directions,” Klecka said in a statement. “And I am pleased to be chosen as president to have the opportunity to guide and oversee our journey.”
