Rossana Aguilar has been named executive director of the California Jewelers Association. The appointment became effective Dec. 1.
For most of the past year, Aguilar shared executive director duties with Noel Chaney, who resigned to open her own retail store. During that time, Aguilar worked out of the association’s Los Angeles office while Chaney opened an office in Northern California. That office will not be closed and all CJA activities will be centralized in Los Angeles.
Prior to her CJA affiliation, Aguilar served as director of membership activities and affiliate relations for Jewelers of America in New York for five years. Her jewelry industry background also includes six years as membership manager for the American Gem Society in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
