The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) has elected Bruce Bridges, of Bridges Tsavorite, its new president.

He will begin his three-year term in February 2025, after the group’s annual show in Tucson.

Bridges will take over the post from Kimberly Collins, who will serve as past president.

Dallas-based AGTA also elected two new directors for three-year terms: Joseph Ambalu of Amba Gem Corporation, and Tracy Lindwall of Nomad’s Lapidary Co. They will take office in February 2025.

Matt Hopkins of Hopkins Opal, and Eshvar Kotahwala of Vinod Kotahwala Inc. were reelected to the AGTA board and will serve three-year terms. Dudley Blauwet of Dudley Blauwet Gems was re-elected for a two-year term.
