Annual dinner will salute veterans of GIA, Gumuchian, and Fred Meyer
The American Gem Society will honor Dr. James Shigley (pictured, right), Peter Engel, and Myriam Gumuchian at its annual Circle of Distinction dinner.
The dinner will be held on Tuesday, July 25, at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
Shigley, a distinguished research fellow at the GIA, will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for his significant contributions to the industry throughout his career.
Gumuchian, co-owner of Gumuchian, and Engel, president of Fred Meyer Jewelers, will both be given the AGS Triple Zero Award for their contributions to the industry.
“This is my first Circle of Distinction dinner as CEO of the AGS, and I am truly honored and inspired by these three individuals who stand out as exceptional leaders in the fine jewelry industry,” said Katherine Bodoh, CEO of AGS and AGS Laboratories, in a statement.
