Whew, 2015 was a good year for pretty jewelry. I’m having so much fun just viewing these pieces all over again. I want to say thank you to the jewelry designers and manufacturers that induge (and tempt) me with these stunning photos each week and also to the readers, who are basically cool with me rambling on about the pieces I want on my wish list year after year—and boy, that list is growing! I hope your customers enjoy these jewels as much as I do, and that they take my obsession one step further and purchase them (I’ll be here daydreaming, blogging, pinning…). Thank you, thank you, thank you, for a sparkly 2015. Here’s your Britt’s Pick roundup.

Venus II earrings in 18k rose gold with abalone and diamonds by Frederic Sage, $1,995
“At just under $2,000 retail, they’re quite a bit less expensive than that island vacation, too, and bring satisfaction for a heck of a lot longer. But if your customer happens to be heading somewhere tropical, these will fit right in.”
Omen necklace in 18k yellow gold with 21 ct. opal, 1.39 cts. t.w. fire opal, and 0.9 ct. t.w. diamonds by Yael Designs, $13,898
“It’s warm, for when winter’s not. I know it’ll be a hit come autumn, too, when we’ll again be in the mood for earthy tones and pops of bright (it’ll be here before you know it, watch and see).”
Briolette teardrop earrings in 18k white and rose gold with pink sapphires and diamonds by Verdi, price on request
“I don’t know what’s better: the elegant—and unexpected—draped pink sapphire briolettes that run along one side of the teardrop shapes, the way the earrings magically appear to fade from rose gold to white, or the rose-cut diamonds peppered with pink that glitter along the surface.”
Love Doves ring in 14k yellow gold with a 4.65 ct. Paraiba and 0.78 ct. t.w. diamonds by Loretta Castoro, $90,000
“A flock of diamonds—63 in total—also decorate the piece, providing a glittery touch against the soothing 18k yellow gold. It sort of looks as if the center stone were being crowned in some sort of fairy tale–inspired tiara.”
Chandelier earrings in 18k white gold with South Sea pearls and diamonds by Yoko London, price on request
“They’re reminiscent of details found throughout the Crescent City, in its iron gates and haunting architecture of eras past, rich with royal French influence. The chandelier-style settings are like something you’d find hanging from the ceiling of a grand estate—though I’d much prefer them hanging from my ears, wouldn’t you?”
Briolette necklace in sterling silver with chalcedony, aquamarine, quartz, kyanite, and treated sapphires by Laura Gibson, $1,700
“For those who don’t have a movie-star budget or who must go without access to borrowing million-dollar jewels, there is this necklace from Laura Gibson. Rich blue stones such as aquamarine, blue quartz, kyanite, treated sapphire, and blue chalcedony mix it up in this color party that just shouts summer by the sea.”
Pebble alternative wedding set in 18k yellow gold and palladium with a 0.24 ct. ruby by Rona Fisher Jewelry Design, $3,120
“The skinny stacking set is petite in size, but powerful in impact; organic textured detail sets this one apart, while its bold focal point is the color many are craving at the moment (Marsala isn’t the Color of the Year for nothing!).”
Four-leaf clover necklace in 14k yellow gold with tsavorite garnet by Stuller, price on request
“With its simple design, this pendant could easily join the ranks of favorite everyday pieces, paired with rows of other pendants and chains, lavishly layered.”
Cherry blossom earrings in sterling silver with mother-of-pearl by Rebecca Hook Jewelry, $210
“In sterling silver, their price point is just right for a pick-me-up while we wait for the temperatures to do just that—pick up. If pink isn’t your thing, the blooms are also available in black mother-of-pearl, which I think creates an especially cool, edgy look.”
Draped ring in 14k black rhodium with 38.57 ct. amethyst by Sylvie Collection, $5,620
“The whole thing reads very Medusa-like to me: dangerous, intriguing, irresistible. The contrast of the center stone’s purple with the blackened metal makes this a total eye-catcher.”
Harper ring in sterling silver with an 18.8 ct. iolite and diamonds by Arya Esha, price on request
“With its frosty exterior, icy blue–violet hue of the center iolite, and glittering diamonds, the look reads snowy magic.”
Fringe earrings in sterling silver with freshwater pearls by Effy, $640
“Effy’s earrings juxtapose elegance with casual, everyday wear, draping freshwater pearls in chandelier-style fringe. Those glittering curtains exhibit a color-blocked pattern made with sterling silver, providing its mega-reasonable price point that makes this pair a no-brainer.”
Orchidee earrings in 24k gold-plated sterling silver with freshwater pearls by Bernd Wolf, price on request
“The earrings are small but mighty and will surely have an impact on summer dressing. A flowing white sundress would complement these perfectly (because we dress to match our jewels, right?).”
Carved emerald ring with pearl and ruby accents by Lee Jewellery, price on request
“A carved, natural emerald is impressive on its own—especially one of more than 10 cts., as this is—but what struck me most about this ring from Lee Jewellery is the way it’s decorated, particularly with its very own necklace of pearls.”
Diamond-shape necklace in 18k black gold with 2.81 ct. Paraiba and 11.52 cts. t.w. diamonds by Bavna, $56,600

One-of-a-kind rings in 18k yellow gold with tourmaline center stones by Vianna Brasil, price on request
“I was like a kid in a luxury candy store, particularly craving the green tourmaline variety, encircled in diamonds—but the largest of the bunch, a pink center framed in green tourmalines, was also spectacularly yummy. “
Lace bracelet by Rebecca Hook for Disney Cruise Line in sterling silver, price on request
“What I love most about the entire line is that the designer never loses herself, and Disney plays but a subtle part in each of the jewels. Hook’s taking her already-beloved collections and swaddling them in just a touch of Disney magic.”

Bezel body chain in gold-plated sterling silver with CZ by Charming Silver, price on request

“No stone is alike, and the designer lets golden bezels hug each shape’s curves for a seamless look that transitions from one tier to the next.”

Cascade necklace in 18k white gold with 306.23 cts. t.w. peridot and 11.63 cts. t.w. diamonds by Andreoli, $124,000
“You’d have to be a pretty lucky duck to score this necklace for a birthday gift—it retails at more than $120K—but I think what Andreoli’s out-of-this-world necklace demonstrates is how powerful peridot can be when it’s in the right hands (er, neck?).”

Stud earrings in 14k Vanilla Gold with 0.81 ct. t.w. Vanilla Diamonds by Le Vian Red Carpet, $3,500
“This pair of stud earrings from Le Vian’s Red Carpet line is the subtle necessity that lets the wearer jump onto the starry-trend bandwagon and keep wearing long after we’ve moved onto something else (though star motifs in jewelry never really die, do they?).”
Royale ring in sterling silver with a red center stone by Belle Étoile, $275
“Its blood-red center stone is both bright and maybe just a bit eerie. The Italian enamel that accents its swirling silver pattern is like a mix of leather and lace—sweet and seductive.”
Hemet cuff bracelet in 18k yellow gold-plated sterling silver with smoky quartz by Charles Garnier Paris, $680
“The Hemet cuff bracelet is one of those wear-with-anything, never-gets-old kind of styles, as equally fresh as it is reliable.”

Double Trouble ring in vermeil with moonstone and opal by Nina Nguyen, $395

Leaves ring in 18k Vanilla Gold with 6.19 cts. t.w. sapphires and 0.49 ct. t.w. Vanilla Diamonds by Le Vian, $6,197
“Le Vian’s spiraling ring sends sends layers of leaves around the finger, with a gradient setting of rich gemstones in shades of orange, yellow, and green.”
Spiderweb stud earrings in sterling silver with cubic zirconia by Charming Silver, $26
“Charming Silver’s sterling spiderweb studs (how’s that for alliteration?) are subtle enough that they aren’t in-your-face Halloween, so they’re great for the office, but they’d look good anywhere and with anything (even a costume).”

Spider and web open cuff in 18k and black rhodium with 0.3 ct. t.w. black diamonds and 0.4 ct. t.w. rubies by Borgioni, $4,600
“Isn’t it strange that, 11 out of 12 months of the year, many of us are terrified by the eight-legged creepy crawlies, but come October, we’re wearing their likeness, decorating our homes with spiderwebs, and even serving snacks and desserts made up to look like them?”
