Tomorrow kicks off the year’s first edition of the famed VicenzaOro fair in Vicenza, Italy, where JCK will have boots on the ground in the form of managing editor Melissa Bernardo—her coverage of the event should lessen the FOMO, for sure.
If you’ll also be attending this unique gathering of international makers and designers, it sounds like the show’s Design Room might be a great place to start. Located within a section of Hall 7 in the Icon District, it’s meant to be a curated hub of creativity and discovery, where buyers may become inspired, forge relationships with new talent, and get a first look at the fine jewelry trends that may be moments away from emerging stateside.
Participating designers include established names such as Lydia Courteille, Monica Rich Kosann, and Mattia Cielo alongside lower-profile brands from France, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. Most are operating at a very artistic, original high-jewelry level. Some highlights:
