This fall’s jewelry trends seem to share a sentiment that mixes maximalism and strength with a healthy dash of nostalgia. Trending styles are not quite as loud as 1980s power dressing, but neither are they pared-back like 2023’s quiet luxury. And they can be made your own based on what it is that you want to say.
Here are the top five trends that we spotted in fall fashion shows—and that we expect to see everywhere later this year.
Power pendants
Whether long or sculptural, statement-making pendants have been rampant on runways, from Bottega Veneta and Christian Dior to Tom Ford, Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester, and others.
Mobile earrings
Calder called: He wants his earrings back. The classic chandelier style is reimagined with shoulder-dusting earrings in artistic shapes. Schiaparelli, Louis Vuitton, Arthur Arbesser, and Giorgio Armani showed some of the best examples of the expressive trend.
Perfect pearls
Prim and proper pearls are moving (or staying?) front and center in strands, earrings, and other variations by such designer as Miu Miu and Chanel. Meet your modern heirloom.
Fresh fruit
Fruit isn’t entirely a novel concept for jewelry, but this fall’s interpretation feels refreshingly discerning, like something out of a still-life oil painting. Tory Burch and Balmain both brought bunches to the runways—burgeoning grapes, sliced watermelon, sparkling strawberries, and more.
Chunky collars
Chunky collar necklaces were all over autumn runways, with different elements and adornments: links from Fendi, baubles from Bottega Veneta, creatures from Chloé, and many more. There’s no doubt this style is trending again.
