Jewelers of America has announced the nominees for its 2025 Gem Awards for jewelry design, media excellence, and retail innovation.

The 23rd annual Gem Awards ceremony will take place Friday, March 14, 2025, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

The three nominees in jewelry design are Copenhagen-based Sophie Bille Brahe; Beth Hutchens, founder and creative director of Foundrae in New York City; and Selim Mouzannar, based in Beirut.

For media excellence, the Gem nominees are Sam Broekema, editor-in-chief of Only Natural Diamonds, a publication produced by the Natural Diamond Council; Paige Reddinger, watch and jewelry editor for Robb Report; and Trace Shelton, editor-in-chief of InStore.

Vying for the retail excellence award are Bernard James, located in Brooklyn, N.Y.; Chicago three-store chain CD Peacock; and Reinhold Jewelers, a five-store chain based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

John A. Green, president and CEO of Lux Bond & Green, will receive the 2025 Gem Award for Lifetime Achievement at the ceremony. More information on the awards can be found here.
