Pucker up for this perfect piece
It’s appropriate that this necklace has been named Kiss, because that’s exactly what I want to do to it. Or rather, it’s the appropriate response to someone who gifts you with this glorious piece, am I right? From a designer who can always be relied upon for the most gorgeous pieces, Lauren K‘s Kiss necklace is more likely named as such due to the layout of its two rectangular boulder opals: Parallel to each another, divided by a just-barely-diagonal line of diamonds, they appear to be smooching. I love not only the luminescent colors that radiate from the stones featured in this piece, but also that its setting caters to to their narrowing shapes, just slightly crooked enough to be perfectly imperfect. I love that I think I can see mountains, sea, and sky within the opals, and the way their cool tones contrast with the warm, textured gold of the chain from which they are suspended. Another one out of the park from Lauren K—I can’t imagine knowing anyone who wouldn’t want to kiss it.
