If this necklace looks familiar, it’s because you have seen it before (albeit briefly, and back in June). New York City–based Vivaan debuted this uncommon cut of tanzanite at JCK Las Vegas, and I, among others, fell hard for it. It’s big, modern, unusual, and makes a powerful statement that will endure for decades.

I pulled it for our July–August issue photo shoots, but it ended up not being selected for either still-life or model shots. (A casualty of photo shoots.) I submitted the high-res shot of this piece for use in the front-of-the-magazine section of July–August, and that was not selected either. So, here we are a month later, and I’m pulling it again for possible use. Fingers crossed that the third time is the charm.
