Here’s a question: Why doesn’t the color brown get much love? It’s a gorgeous neutral that, in my opinion, doesn’t find itself in our wardrobes often enough and is the perfect hue to welcome fall. While some may poo-poo it (ha) for the obvious, less-than-savory associations, I can’t help but wonder why it isn’t more often linked to the things we cherish most in life—coffee and chocolate, to name a few. I’ll do you one even better:
If you’re looking for a convincing example of how gorgeous brown can be, Yael Designs‘ ring is it. It features a velvety brown zircon center of nearly 9 cts., appropriately adorned with sparkling diamonds and held in a two-tone setting that effectively plays up the richness of the stone. The gallery of the ring has a geometric pattern, which to me appears crown-like—fitting for a color that, I think and wish and hope, should rule the season. I can think of no better jewel to champion for a revamped color trend this season. Who’s with me?
