By now, you’ve surely heard the news that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have gotten engaged. While some blogs are already buzzing with ideas for Angie’s wedding dress, we’re still discussing her custom-designed, sizeable stunner of an engagement ring, the result of a year-long collaboration between Brad Pitt and jeweler Robert Procop. Expect starry-eyed celebrity followers to descend on your store any day now, requesting a “Brangelina”—or, to you, an emerald-cut diamond engagement ring. (Procop declined to provide carat or quality details on the center stone, but make no mistake: It’s huge!). Marketplace is chock-full of the faceted design, no celeb budget required. Take a look at five of my favorites, below.
Katharine James’ Bella’s Love Ring
Katharine James’ version of the emerald-cut engagement ring comes from the Bella’s Love collection, giving us a figure-eight shank sprinkled with diamonds and a rectangular halo surrounding the center stone.
Universal Fine Jewelry’s Diamond Dazzler
Universal Fine Jewelry delights us with this engagement ring from Eddy Z. A sparkling emerald-cut diamond takes center stage, surrounded by a border of round-cut diamonds that spill down the milgrain-accented shank. Baguette diamonds highlight each side of the center stone.
Leo Ingwer’s Split-Shank Splendor
Leo Ingwer’s take on the emerald-cut engagement ring stars a shining emerald-cut diamond, subtly accented by a split shank glazed in round-cut diamonds.
Rahaminov’s Generous Gem
Rahaminov Diamonds says “go big or go home” with this 5.02 ct. emerald-cut center diamond accented with trapezoid side stones set in platinum. It looks as big as Angelina’s!
Tycoon’s Diamond Solitaire
Tycoon’s diamond engagement ring lends a solitaire style to the emerald-cut center and adds a generous serving of round-cut diamonds to the sparkling shank.
