The unofficial jewelry week that takes place in Arizona in the first week of February each year inspires and delights many, including this journalist. I love seeing what’s just come out of the ground and workshops of miners and designers alike! Here are five of my personal favorites spied during my week in the desert. If I could, I would buy them all!
Editor’s note: All of these pictures were snapped by yours truly at the shows—JCK Tucson, AGTA GemFair Tucson, and Centurion—last week but have no filters.
Tsavorite and amethyst rings from Phillips House. I love the whimsical color combination and geometric shapes of these rings, particularly the little stackers, which retail for $900 apiece.
Ruby and rubellite lips ring from Loretta Castoro. This signature look from Castoro has superb stones in shades that are hard to resist. It retails for $7,260.
Yellow beryl ring from iZi Creations. The playful design is fun, but it’s the stone that I love! Big, bright, sunny, and offset with colorless diamonds, it’s like the sun on your finger. It retails for $3,714.
Blue bunny ring from Zorab Creations. So lighthearted and adorable! This is one pet bunny that would be easy to care for. With sapphires, topaz, and chalcedony, the price was unavailable at press time. (Update: it’s $30,500!)
Citrine chunk from Robert Bentley. The shape is organic and powerful, and I would further adorn it with only one small mandarin garnet and a pink tourmaline set into the upper right corner of the stone. It retails for about $1,000.
