December isn’t over, so we’ll still be working to wow you with jaw-dropping jewelry design on our Instagram feed, @jckonline, in 2019. But it’s about that time—time to count down the 10 most liked JCK Instagram posts of the year!
In our quest to keep you in the loop on all things new and innovative in jewelry and watches, we featured so many stunning pieces on @jckmagazine this year. In 2019 we hosted several well-liked takeovers (from Gem Gossip, the Diamonds Girl, and more) and ‘grammed relentlessly from the crammed aisles of jewelry and watch trade shows around the globe.
And if you don’t follow us on Instagram, now’s the time—we post daily content on both the feed and in Stories that spotlights innovative design, industry news, and breaking news stories.
In ascending order, here are JCK’s most liked IG posts of 2019.

Three of our 10 most liked posts in 2019 were from jewelry influencer and blogger Tracey Ellison, aka @thediamondsgirl, who took over our feed in October to showcase her favorite recent necklaces—all of which were exquisite! This gorgeous emerald David Webb necklace prompted comments including “Incredible!” and “Is it heavy to wear?”

Actress Helen Mirren (and again, David Webb) gave us a major jewelry moment a few weeks later by wearing a show-stopping turquoise and emerald David Webb necklace and earrings that had @jckmagazine followers (and every JCK editor) drooling. “Gorgeous lady!” enthused @iocollective. While @saragoldenjewelry gushed, “I diiiiiie! It’s absolutely stunning.”

This insanely beautiful tourmaline ring from Sofragem garnered lots of love on the ‘gram back in late May. “If I tried that on I’m not sure I’d be able to take it off! Lovely!” wrote @adventures.and.accessories.
The @thediamondgirl’s shot of a divine Yoko London Pearls pearl-and-diamond necklace was a huge hit on the feed—and @brittanyduncancreative noted that the jewel “Reminds me of @elizabethtaylor ‘s Frost necklace @kathyireland wore at the Oscars.”

La Californienne’s revamped and rainbow-ed Rolex sparked a great conversation in the comments over whether an altered classic Swiss watch is a good thing—or blasphemy! “Love it, wish I could afford it!” wrote @chalmsjewels. @Themeparkgirl was in agreement: “I absolutely love this! Such a great improvement on boring, stuffy old Rolex designs! #iwantone.” But @shopgirlforjewels_watches expressed her views with a single emoji: a woman with a palm hitting her face.

@Jckmagazine followers always like pink stones (as do we!). But this Argyle Pink diamond ring from New York City’s J Fine was especially beloved. “So gorgeous” wrote @tacoriofficial, and @doyleanddoyle noted, “So romantic and pretty yet strong!!”

Jewelry blogger and veteran industry influencer Danielle Miele, founder of @gemgossip, took over our Instagram in February and followers were wowed by her posts—and her personality. In her most liked post of the takeover, Miele revealed that she was pregnant with her first baby (her adorable son has since arrived). “Congratulations on everything!!!!” commented @grazielagems.

Emma Stone’s reveal of her Kataoka Jewelry pearl engagement ring was a surprise hit with followers this month, and much of the convo in the comments swirled around how awesome it was that she bucked the big-diamond celebrity ring—although many jewelers noted that pearls make for precarious center stones: “Love pearls, love the ring, but if she’s sentimental to it, she may want to consider something different for every day,” wrote @tuckerjamesdesigns. Helpful!

@Thediamondsgirl’s top-performing post in her @jckmagazine takeover featured a photo of showstopping Moussaieff diamond jewelry that she shared was the most-liked photo she’s ever posted on her feed. Commenters (and again, JCK editors) swooned: “The perfect necklace,” noted @bermanjewelers.
Our most liked Instagram post of 2019 featured two forces of nature: Lady Gaga and the Tiffany Diamond. The A Star Is Born lead wore the 128.54 ct. gem—last worn by a young Audrey Hepburn—in a newly created necklace to the Oscars. It’s safe to say we were as knocked out by it as you were!
