Brazilian jeweler H.Stern has opened a pop-up shop in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood to serve New Yorkers while its Fifth Avenue flagship undergoes renovation.
This space is the brand’s first U.S. pop-up store—located at 104 Greene Street between Spring and Prince streets—and will remain open through July 2015. (The flagship is expected to reopen in the summer.)
“The design concept of the new pop-up boutique is inspired by an art gallery,” Roberto Stern, H.Stern’s president and creative director, told the media.
Designed by Brazilian architects Adriana Valle and Patricia Carvalho, the aesthetic reflects a gallery theme incorporating H.Stern sketches that highlight some of its famous Brazilian partnerships with architect Oscar Niemeyer and Brazilian dance troupe Grupo Corpo. The 1,800-square-foot space also features natural and light elements like wood, rope, and copper, as well as plexiglass visuals. Jewelry collections housed within include Stars (Stern translates to “star” in German and is H.Stern’s signature motif), Fluid Gold, Moonlight, and Copernicus, among others.
