Realm co-designers Ann King Lagos and Toni Renée Leslie aim to offer “thoughtfully created accessories that fuse the lines of trend-conscious fashion jewelry with intricately designed fine jewelry,” the duo tell JCK. Their signature is a stylized version of a heraldic crest that can be seen in various forms throughout the collection, which is made in Thailand. The firm’s ethos of Reign Thoughtfully speaks to the business and partnership—Lagos, a longtime jewelry designer both for ex’s Lagos brand and QVC, and Leslie with 25 years of graphic design, interior design, and styling savvy—as well as to all the “empress” consumers who wear the pieces. The pair set up their new venture in Philadelphia, where Lagos received the 2013 Visionary Woman Award from Moore College of Art. More kudos: Lagos was nominated for the 2014 FGI Rising Star Award in Fine Jewelry.
