From his tony station in Beverly Hills, Calif., Robert Procop has struck another deal with a member of the Hollywood elite. Enter the new Legacy collection with Brooke Shields, which officially debuts in June and will be in stores by September.
Twenty-six SKUs made in platinum and 18k white and rose gold feature some of the model and actress’ favorite colors—purple and green evident in amethyst, peridot, and emerald—in the robust modern silhouettes (think big cabochon cuts) for which Procop is known.
“Brooke has traced her ancestry down to King Louis the XIV, the King of France,” explains Procop. “Purple is known to be a color of royalty and is a great representation of her and the collection.”
And even though the collection isn’t officially available, several stores—including Saks Fifth Avenue—have placed orders. Bonus: Expect personal appearances from Shields down the road and a percentage of sale proceeds to benefit the Los Angeles House of Ruth, a charity that both designer and actress hold dear.
“The House of Ruth is a transitional housing shelter and program for women and children to help them realize a better start in life,” says Procop. “The charity provides shelter, prevention programs, opportunities, and education to those transitioning from a life of domestic violence. I have been working with House of Ruth for 25 years and have assisted in building 14 homes. Brooke and I have been friends for a very long time, and this cause has been close to her heart for as long as it has been close to mine.”
Retail prices range from $5,000 to $200,000.
