One of my favorite things to do at the end of August is to dig through sale racks, hunting for crazily discounted items that I can wear right this second or save for next summer. But my other goal? To find pieces that can be worn in September and October—and in some cases, into winter.
I’m usually rewarded with a handful of pieces in fall-appropriate colors and textures (trench coats, day dresses that lend themselves to layering, and, inexplicably, cashmere sweaters).
But I have a hard time letting go of my summertime jewelry—what I would loosely define as coral, turquoise, opaque stone beads, and shell motifs—just because the days are getting shorter and the air is getting cooler.
Meanwhile, I’ve been desperate to cover Bounkit‘s gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous summer jewelry range since it landed in my inbox in June, and here we are, the end of August. No doubt these pieces are 100% suited to beach holidays, and yet, check out the looks I put together below. Don’t they look fantastic with the clearance items I found online?
Transitional dressing can be a challenge—you wake up shivering, and by lunchtime you no longer need that sweater or jacket—but when you let your favorite summer jewels take the lead, everything seems to fall into place (heh, heh).
