In a packed jewelry store showcase, Alisa’s braided basket-weave aesthetic is fairly easy to spot. The classic look is the signature of the Manalapan, N.J.–based jewelry-maker of Italian-made silver and 18k gold styles, and it has long let silver account for the bulk of metal weights in its collections. But change was noticeable this year at JCK LUXURY and JCK Las Vegas in the form of greater gold content. A new Traversa Gold jewelry collection featured Alisa’s classic styles with bulked-up gold accents to take advantage of the metal’s more favorable pricing. Retail prices start at under $1,000.
