Doves by Doron Paloma’s new Petite Doves jewelry collection of entry-price 14k and 18k gold and diamond pieces couldn’t have been timelier in its debut at JCK LUXURY 2015.
“We had at least six retailers ask us for pieces that retail for under $3,000 on the first day of the show,” explained Debbie Hakimian, vice president of marketing. “Retailers want pieces to sell where women feel like they don’t have to ask for their husband’s permission to buy.”
That’s exactly what Petite Doves is: a collection of smaller fashion pieces in gold with diamonds that hits a price point with style. Some 300 SKUs exist to date, in styles that are light looking and feminine, designed to hit a sweet spot for retailers. Numerous open-style cuff bracelets that flirt with the $2,000 mark are among offerings, while the entry price to the entire collection is $500.
