2 June Birthstones, 1 Luminous New Jewelry Collection

I somehow didn’t get the memo that moonstone is an alternative birthstone for June. But it’s good to have options if you’re a June baby who’s feeling a little pearled out.

Even better? Some new jewelry options that combine both gemstones. Better still: a collection that’s priced well and available through a number of retailers.

And that’s where the new Bella Luna collection from Mastoloni comes in. One of my favorite finds from Luxury 2019, it stood out to me from among the well-established pearl jewelry company’s newest jewelry styles because it is so soft, light, and airy. I was reminded that moonstones and pearls share a luminescent quality while evoking a powerful femininity and the mysteries of the sky and sea.

The moonstones feature faceted geometric cuts, round or slightly cylindrical in shape. And though they have a blue tint in the photos, the stones are, in fact, a really delicate, watery white. With pearls, and subtle flashes of gold chain, it’s a white-on-white color story that feels fresh and clean for summer but would also be beautiful against a backdrop of creamy cashmere or mohair.
