With all the tie-dye and rainbows that have been inundating us for the last few seasons, I’m constantly reminded how powerfully commanding a bright combination of colors can be, and I can’t get enough. It seems, despite the juicy selection of colorful jewelry on tap, that my thirst for more cannot be quenched—though a shot or two of these latest jewels from Erica Courtney comes close.
Blue spinel, peach mahenge garnet, chrysoberyl—all the ingredients of an exotic fruit salad, except instead of fruit, it’s gemstones, and instead of salad, it’s some incredibly indelible jewelry.
The one I can’t stop staring at the most is the Queen’s Crown ring, above, bejeweled with a tourmaline that’s saturated in the most magnificent shade of green, like the shade of palm leaves on a tropical shore. Guess I have a sandy beach on my mind.
Speaking of sand, Erica Courtney will be bringing her cast of colorful characters—her jewelry designs—to the desert, showcasing once again at Luxury by JCK. I’m actually ashamed to say that I’ve not yet been to visit her at the show, as the designer is often occupied with visitors (which is really the best-case scenario though, isn’t it?). I’m hoping that 2019 will be the year that I’ll finally get to see what my fingers look like awash in the color of her rings, though—spoiler alert—even my hands, which have missed many a manicure, will probably look amazing.
