Greek philosopher Epictetus said, “Know first who you are, and then adorn yourself accordingly.” That’s certainly advice that can be applied to men’s jewelry. There are plenty of options out there for male jewelry lovers, but not all of them are good (and some of them are downright not good).
As a jewelry retailer, you know part of your job is to help men find those precious trinkets that feel organic to their personalities, style predilections, and lives. And you also know when you’re working with men wary of looking overly adorned (most of them), this can be a complicated process.
To that end, here are a few of my favorite current men’s jewelry collections for your consideration—all tasteful and trendy (but still fairly timeless) in my book.
Alex Orso Studio
London-based men’s jewelry brand Alex Orso Studio puts a Gen Z–friendly spin on classic men’s jewelry looks, including the thin cuff bracelet, the pendant necklace, and the banded ring. The designs are deeply minimalist without feeling basic (or boring).

David Yurman Men
Evan Yurman, son of David Yurman founders Sybil and David Yurman, made a big push into men’s jewelry this year by debuting a separate men’s collection—it even has its own Instagram feed. The resulting pieces are classic Yurman—bold and ’70s-inspired, with just a little sparkle.

Le Gramme
French men’s jewelry label Le Gramme creates low-key styles that feel traditionally manly (see the cable bracelet, below), along with more playful pieces, including rectangular frames as pendants (also below).

M. Cohen Designs
Los Angeles–based unisex jewelry collection M. Cohen Designs is a little bit beachy (see shell bracelets below) and a little bit rock ‘n’ roll—check out the brand’s large-scale silver pieces, which sport a luxe-tough vibe.

Pyrrha Jewelry
Pyrrha Jewelry, based in Vancouver, B.C. (which you can check out at the upcoming JCK Las Vegas show) is famous for its talisman rings and pendant necklaces—and is truly unisex. Who—man or woman—couldn’t use a little extra cosmic protection?
