On Aug. 21, London Jewelers will apparently become the first U.S. jeweler to carry the Apple Watch.
The New York chain will sell the Apple Watch Edition at two of the company’s five locations, Manhasset and East Hampton, a statement said.
The Edition is the 18k gold model of the much-touted smartwatch and retails from $10,000 to $17,000.
Besides Apple’s own stores, the only other U.S. retailers currently carrying the watch are high-end L.A. boutique Maxfield and electronics chain Best Buy.
London Jewelers declined further comment, but it currently features a picture of the watch on its site, rotating with the latest offerings from Hublot and Cartier.
It was not known if Apple plans to target any other jewelers. The tech giant did not respond to an inquiry from JCK.
Last year, Apple hired Patrick Pruniaux, the former vice president of global sales for TAG Heuer.
