The countdown to JCK Las Vegas 2019 is on, and with it, the anticipation of taking in all of the new sights and sparkles is getting stronger by the day.

Adding to the excitement is the news that many brands will be debuting new collections at the show, with some of them offering sneak peeks at the jewels. One of the remarkable talents teasing a new collection is Julie Romanenko, founder and designer of Just Jules.

Charming is the name of the new collection from Just Jules, who will be exhibiting within the Design @ Luxury neighborhood at the 2019 Luxury by JCK show, which runs May 29–June 3.

Charming features the incomparable opal as the cornerstone of its collection, in which the opulent stone is crafted into a charm-like assortment of pendants. Rather than be placed into a setting by prongs, or held together by solder, these opals are living the naked life, their gem bodies are drilled using a proprietary technique—done “very, very, very carefully,” says the designer—and looped with a diamond-lined bail. No jump ring connects these charmers, just the polished, pretty presence of the boulder opal pieces. They remind me of guitar picks, which is probably why I find their look to be downright rock and roll.

Each bail contains approximately 0.2 ct. t.w. diamonds, while the opal ct. weight—and pricing—varies due to the assortment of shapes and sizes. The way they’re designed, they look amazing worn in groups and can be strung from any variety of chain (the chains pictured here are sold separately). So good!

This is just a snippet of what to expect at JCK Las Vegas 2019—the new collection features earrings, too—as it will be unveiled in full at the designer’s location in Design @ Luxury, Salon LUX31067. I, for one, can’t wait to see what else is on hand—and possibly collect one of these truly Charming pieces for myself!
