Shinola is introducing an automatic version of its flagship timepiece, the Runwell.
The timepiece has been in the making since the release of the original Runwell in 2013, according to a company statement, and will land in stores and online in April.
The higher-end Runwell will come in a handful of subdued colorways and will be available in 39.5 mm and 45 mm models.
The watch’s Swiss automatic movement, the Sellita SW200-1, drives its hours, minutes, seconds, and calendar aperture function. The timepiece also includes micro-tracking, a printed dial, a pumpkin crown, a double-domed sapphire crystal, and a caseback with a small sapphire window that provides a view of its rotor.
Additionally, 26 jewels “help reduce friction to maintain accuracy,” according to the statement—and the watch features a 38-hour power reserve.
The Runwell Automatic will retail for $1,095 for leather strap styles and $1,295 for bracelet styles. The original Runwell, for men and women, ranges from $550 to $850, while the Runwell Chronograph is priced from $875 to $1,500.
