Ania Haie, an affordably priced stackable jewelry brand that targets younger female consumers, has hired industry veteran Alisa Bunger (pictured, right) as its U.S. director of sales.
Bunger previously worked for seven years as director of sales for Elle Time & Jewelry. Before that, she was a general manager, inventory manager, and management development specialist for Signet Group.
London-based Ania Haie premiered early this year at the VicenzaOro fair in Italy and has already secured distribution deals throughout Europe. Its silver- and gold-plated items can be stacked and layered but can also work as stand-alone pieces.
The brand’s husband and wife cofounders, Andrea (Andy) and David Maine, also founded stackable bracelet line Chrysalis in 2007. In 2015, the Chrysalis brand was sold to the Richline Group.
In a statement, cofounder Andy Maine said that Ania Haie wants to be like fashion retailer H&M, which is constantly introducing new collections and changing the fashion looks in the store.
“We are doing the same concept with jewelry,” she said.
In spring 2019, the company will introduce its Fringe Appeal and Mineral Glow collections. The Fringe Appeal collection includes tassel-adorned pieces, from fringed statement ear cuffs to cascading necklaces. The Mineral Glow collection has unique pieces with opal color and turquoise slice doublets.
Bunger said in a statement that her new brand is “looking forward to building strong partnerships with boutiques, independent, and chain jewelry retailers alike to provide a new brand that keeps up with the latest trends at affordable price points for quicker inventory turn.”
