Cartier CEO Stanislas de Quercize has resigned and will be replaced by Cyrille Vigneron, the current president of LVMH Japan.
De Quercize (pictured) will become chairman of Richemont France. Richemont is Cartier’s corporate parent. Earlier this week, reports surfaced that de Quercize had taken a health-related leave of absence.
Vigneron is currently president of LVMH Japan and worked for Richemont from 1988 to 2013. Among the titles he has held: managing director of Cartier Japan, president of Richemont Japan, and managing director of Cartier Europe. He takes over as CEO on Jan. 1, 2016.
De Quercize has headed Cartier since 2012.
