The Windup Watch Fair, an annual shopping event held at the Chelsea Market in New York City, will return for its fourth consecutive year Nov. 2–4, announced its organizers—New York City watch retailer Windup Watch Shop and its editorial platform Worn & Wound.
The three-day shopping event, which is open to the public, showcases a curated selection of watches and watch accessories. The 2018 fair will be its largest outing yet, with nearly 40 brands exhibiting.
“We’ve focused on making the Windup Watch Fair approachable for everyone, from seasoned collectors to newcomers,” said Worn & Wound cofounder Blake Malin in a prepared statement. “First, we curate a roster of brands that offers watches across a wide spectrum of styles and prices, so there’s something for everyone. We also organize the event so that it’s casual and engaging. There are no private booths or intimidating displays. Attendees are encouraged to come in, check out some watches, and talk to the people behind the brands.”
Swiss watch brand Oris is sponsoring the fair this time out, alongside startup timepiece brand Farer and StockX, a buying and selling platform for watches.
Watch and accessories brands exhibiting at the event will include Autodromo, Baltic, Collins, Everest, Dan Henry, Damasko, Juvo, Mido, Raven, Ralf Tech, Wilk Watchworks, Schon Horology, Vero, Those Watch Guys, Melbourne Watch Co., Mondaine, Stowa, Lorier, Klokers, Martenero, Bespoke Watch Projects, and Auteur, and Formex.
The Windup Watch Shop deals in emerging and established watch brands from independent and value-driven watch companies. The retailer founded Worn & Wound in 2011.
The Windup Watch Fair opens on Nov. 2 (11 a.m.–6:30 p.m.) and runs Nov. 3 and 4 (11 a.m.–7 p.m.) at the Chelsea Market, 75 Ninth Ave. in New York City.
