Israel “Izzy” Itzkowitz and Maarten de Witte have joined Diamond Foundry, the producer of lab-grown diamonds that has received backing from Leonardo DiCaprio and big names from Silicon Valley.
Itzkowitz, called the inventor of the princess cut, has joined the company as master cutter. Over the years, Itzkowitz has developed private label designs for De Beers, Tiffany & Co., and Graff.
De Witte will be master cutter and brand builder. Previously, he worked at Hearts On Fire, the American School of Diamond Cutting, EightStar Diamond, and Embee Diamonds.
