Brand development agency For Future Reference (FFR), which represents a handful of high- fashion-friendly jewelry collections including Retrouvaí, Brent Neale, Ark, Sarah Hendler, and Sorellina, has opened a brick-and-mortar store in Hudson, N.Y.
The shop, which is located on Hudson’s main drag, Warren Street, had a soft opening on June 26 featuring a selection of jewelry from its roster of brands, along with a small cache of up-and-coming jewelry designers and estate pieces.
FFR co-founders Meaghan Flynn and Randi Molofsky, who showcased their brands in a booth swathed in flamingo wallpaper and neon at the Couture show earlier this month, are known for their bold, retro-inspired personal style. The pair’s now corralled a cache of similarly quirky fashion, accessories, and home decor items for the new boutique.
The space also debuts a pair of new-to-market fragrances—available in scent and candle form—developed by the FFR co-founders (disclosure: Molofsky is the jewelry director of JCK magazine).
“Meaghan became a part-time resident of Hudson last year and just truly fell in love with the area,” says Molofsky. “Warren Street has phenomenal shopping—especially in the antiques department—but we really wanted to bring our brand of emerging-designer fine jewelry to the town. When a prime space opened up, we jumped at the chance.”
