Motes is the chief operating officer of Smyth Jewelers
The Continental Buying Group (CBG), the largest independent jewelry organization in the U.S., has elected Mark Motes as the head of its board.
Motes is the chief operating officer of Smyth Jewelers, the Baltimore-based retailer. He has been a member of the CBG board for eight years.
“Mark is well known throughout the jewelry industry and brings tremendous knowledge to our board,” said CBG chief operation officer Joe Murphy. “Smyth is our highest volume jeweler, and Mark is very open to offering operational insights to the board as well as our retailers.”
