Event will feature insight on the presidential election from a top journalist
Jewelers of America (JA) will present “Wine, Whiskey & Washington,” an exclusive members-only event on April 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Top of the Town in Arlington, Va.
Sponsored by the Jewelers of America Political Action Committee (JAPAC), the event will feature a wine and whiskey tasting, a sit-down dinner, and a keynote presentation on this year’s presidential election from one of the top journalists covering the race. The event is being held on the eve of American Gem Society Conclave, which is also being held in Washington, D.C.
“In this historic election year, with jewelry industry leaders heading to D.C., this is a unique opportunity to shine a bright light on the work that is being done to fight for jewelers,” said JA president and CEO David J. Bonaparte in a statement. “With lawmakers making decisions on sales tax fairness and other key issues that will impact jewelry businesses today and long into the future, having an influence is critical.”
