Nate D. Sanders Auctions in Los Angeles will sell 95 lots of Prince-related memorabilia in an online auction on March 17, including the engagement ring he gave to his ex-wife Mayte Garcia.
The pieces, which include jewelry, costumes, and personal papers, are from the collections of Garcia, his former manager Owen Husney, and guitarist Dez Dickerson.
The 2.2. ct. round diamond ring (pictured, above) comes with a set of five handwritten notes that the musician used in his proposal to Garcia. Opening bid for the ring and the notes is $100,000.
Other items include a gold ring worn by Prince (starting bid, $7,000), a silver moon-shape ear cuff worn by Prince (starting bid, $7,000), and a gold, diamond, and amethyst Prince “love symbol” pin worn by Prince (starting bid, $10,000).
