This Jewelry Designer Has the Prettiest Instagram Feed

You can always count on JCK’s editors to alert you to must-follow Instagram accounts, whether it’s a copycat whistleblower, a celebrity stylist or yesterday’s delightful roundup of jewelry designers that are making it feel like spring.

New York–based designer Eva Noga may have just over 2,000 Instagram followers, but I’ve been liking and saving her beautiful posts since she launched her fine jewelry collection last year. A native of the Czech Republic, Noga attended the School of Visual Arts and Parsons in New York City and has a background in fashion and textile design.

She had a costume jewelry line that was carried by Anthropologie before making the switch to fine, an endeavor that allows her to bring her botanical and entomological inspirations (think: spiders, beetles, and rosebuds) to life with dainty carved gemstones and diamonds. Stores like Ylang 23 and Metalmark Fine Jewelry are among the retailers who have taken notice.

Noga’s new spring collection is called Herbarium. “It’s inspired by my greatest passion, which is gardening,” she says. “Waiting for spring can be hard in the Northeast and I poured all my energy and anticipation of the season into these designs.”

Carved pink, green, and variegated tourmaline leaves and blossoms, acquired at the most recent Tucson Gem Show, will anchor the collection. A first look at one of the designs, fresh from the studio, is offered below.

Fittingly, Nova’s Instagram is like a garden in miniature, landscaped with perfectly square, exquisitely composed images that drive home the signatures of her brand. And, despite snow in April, somehow manage to hasten the full arrival of spring.
