Short on length, but never on style
A necklace is never simply a necklace. With such a wide range of options, it’s enough to make anyone’s—but particularly a less-than-familiar with jewelry gift shopper’s-head spin. I can imagine (and have seen) the scenario play out with boyfriends, husbands, brothers, and dads. They need a necklace, they say. What kind? It doesn’t matter, just something she’ll like. And then you lay it on him. Were you looking for a pendant necklace? Chokers are quite popular at the moment. How about an opera-length? No? A by-the-yard chain, then? I don’t envy the decision maker with all of these choices. And yet, I’m so glad that they’re all available. Add to that long list of styles the collar, or collier, as many of these have been so lushly labeled, and you’ve got quite the cast to work with. And while I can’t imagine any of these choices being something a just-strolled-in shopper looking for that special something is going to come away with (most aren’t your same-day, spur-of-the-moment purchases, if you know what I mean), I can assuredly say that anyone fortunate enough to be gifted such exquisite jewels will be quite satisfied indeed.
