Chiara Ferragni, founder of The Blonde Salad blog and a superstar on social media, is the new brand ambassador for Italian jewelry house Pomellato.
The brand tapped the popular influencer, who reportedly nets several million dollars in e-commerce sales and sponsorships every year, to represent its PomellatoForWomen advertising campaign. The initiative was designed to celebrate the female self-purchaser by offering “a wide-angled reflection on what beauty is today,” according to brand literature. The ad campaign already features a trio of powerhouse women: Anh Duong, Caroline Corbetta, and Helen Nonini.
Pomellato is currently helmed by a female CEO, Sabina Belli, and says 75 percent of its employees are women.
“I am so proud to join this campaign that represents everything that women can be—strong and capable, and fiercely independent,” said Ferragni in a statement.
The entrepreneur was photographed by legendary fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh for the campaign, which features Ferragni wearing Pomellato jewels—wisps of her famous blonde hair caught in glamorous midmovement—in a series of crisp, black-and-white images.
“What is refreshing is that Pomellato’s campaign represents women at their most authentic and natural, in their truest self-expression,” said Lindbergh in the same statement. “This is to me the most beautiful thing. What impresses me most about Chiara—and I was working with her for the first time—is her strong and vibrant personality. She embodies the future of femininity. She is wholeheartedly and powerfully present, a true influencer, and it just came out through my lens.”
The jewelry house celebrated the debut of the 2018 PomellatoForWomen Campaign during Paris Haute Couture week last night with a private dinner hosted by CEO Sabina Belli and Italian Ambassador Giandomenico Magliano at the Italian Embassy. Guests included Ferragni, Lindbergh, Nonini, Corbetta, Prince and Princess de Bourbon des Deux Siciles, Ellen von Unwerth, W magazine editor Stefano Tonchi, and Becca Cason Thrash.
