The awards celebrate excellence in jewelry-making and design
MJSA, the trade association dedicated to professional excellence in jewelry making and design, has named the winners of its annual Vision Awards.
Winners receive cash awards, gift certificates for tools and supplies and, for the students, scholarship funds. The winners will also be profiled in the August issue of the MJSA Journal.
The designs by the winners will be on display at the 2017 MJSA Expo at the Javits Center in New York City. They can be viewed online at mjsa.org.
The winners are:
Professional Excellence (4+ Years in Business)
First Place: Klaus Kutter of A Jour Jewelry Inc. in Bristol, R.I.
Second Place: Ian Douglas of Inspired Jewellery in Wellington, New Zealand
Professional Excellence (1–3 Years in Business)
First Place: Baiyang Qiu of BQ Jewelry in Milpitas, Calif. (Qui’s Emerging brooch is pictured above.)
Second Place: Gina Ferranti of GiGi Ferranti Jewelry in Brooklyn, N.Y.
CAD/CAM Distinction
Gregoré Morin of Gregoré Joailliers in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Laser Distinction

Custom Design Distinction
