It’s officially New York Fashion Week. And while the hottest ticket of the week—without a doubt Tom Ford’s show last night—showcased exactly zero pieces of jewelry (unless you count the sequined long sleeves on Gigi Hadid), other buzz-y collections offered up cool jewelry looks for the spring season.
Here’s the jewelry scoop from day one:
Rachel Comey
Models at Rachel Comey were styled in tribal-inspired earrings (some fabricated in clear lucite, others in metals with gemstones) that complemented the collection’s grown-up, easy-fitting pieces.
Streetwear and denim brand R13 clad its male and female models in trucker hats and double black-leather arm cuffs—two looks that were concurrently all the rage in the early 2000s. Are we done with the ’90s already??

VFiles
It’s difficult to imagine how the jewelry shown at streetwear band VFile’s spring 2018 show could translate into real life. Not many consumers are down to wear skulls the size of dinner plates as pendants, or pendants made to resemble male genitalia. But the surreality made for a fun spectacle.

Rachel Antonoff
Photos released by Rachel Antonoff of her Spring 2018 collection include a lone piece of jewelry—a drop earring comprised of three linked circles. The piece itself is common enough—but styled as a single, it has impact.

Whit
Whit released a look book of its Spring 2018 collection that showcased pretty looks styled with earthy, Navajo-inspired silver rings and cuff bracelets, worn in multiples. What’s not to love?
