Jewelry designers Karen Karch and Deme Wolfe-Power, fellow Texans-turned-New Yorkers, have produced a first collaboration oozing Southwest punk. With a cross- cultural mix of Mexican and Native American iconography, the Karch x Wolfe collection features desert-inspired pieces featuring cactus ear climbers, blackened silver flower rings, and horn-shaped charm necklaces. Shapes are jagged and rough, just like the American Southwest and their fan base.
“Youth in Revolt” is their tagline. Karch, who’s been in the business 25 years, owns a boutique in New York City and counts among her fans celebrities like Mariska Hargitay and Megan Fox. Wolfe-Power has been in the business for 17 years and has funneled her love of all things desert into the collaboration. Both jewelry designers are from El Paso.
