If you’ve got enough disposable income—and you’d rather buy jewelry than a house—listen up. Martin Katz, Los Angeles–based jeweler to the stars, has curated a 30-piece couture collection exclusively for Moda Operandi. The trunk show, which runs today through May 27, will feature one-of-a-kind pieces, each signed and numbered and bound to be collected. Overall, the collection has an Art Deco feel—one pair of earrings especially channels the era, featuring 10.62 kite-shape emeralds hanging off modified kite-shape diamonds, and is listed for $796,000.
Deborah Nicodemus, CEO of Moda Operandi, praised Katz’s designs in a statement released by the company. “Martin Katz’s collection will resonate with our client as she truly values creativity and designers with an eye for perfection,” she said. Also, in the collection is an 8 ct. oval ruby cabochon and lavender jade ring, Katz’s Toby studs and classic diamond pieces. Katz is equally excited about selling pieces on the website. “It was great to be approached by Moda Operandi,” he said. “The online space is really becoming the ultimate destination for luxury consumers all over the world, and we have been presented with many opportunities, but nothing felt right until Moda Operandi. I am excited to make my online debut with such a prestigious e-commerce site.”
