FENTON ART GLASS HONORS SALES REPS
Fenton Art Glass Co. recognized its top-selling representatives of 1994 during a national sales meeting in Williamstown, W.Va.
Frances Berryman of the Weikels organization in Greensboro, Ala., was named Sales Associate of the Year. Simpson Marketing Inc. of Chicago, Ill., was named Organization of the Year. David Anderson and Rebecca Begin of Peddlers Too, Foster City, Cal., shared Newcomer of the Year honors.
MIGNON FAGET WINS ALPHA AWARDS
Mignon Faget, an artist and jewelry designer in New Orleans, La., won 10 awards at the 10th annual Alpha Awards, held by the Fashion Group of New Orleans last year.
Faget received top honors in two categories: Use of Fashion for Non-Fashion Related Enterprise (for a pin designed for the New Orleans Ballet Association) and Fashion Advertising-Catalog (for her Objects of Adornment catalog). She received silver awards in Use of Fashion for Non-Fashion-Related Enterprise (for a medallion she designed for the Josephine Louise Newcomb Society) and Jewelry Design-Single Item (for her Cruxx Transversa on hematite necklace). She won bronze awards for jewelry design, advertising, direct mail, coordinated campaign, the design of her new Houston gallery and the gallery’s finishing paint technique.
Faget has won 46 Alpha awards since 1985 and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987.

Vanity Fair, New York, N.Y., promoted three members of its advertising sales staff. Linda Kloner was named jewelry/watch director, Patricia Foster was named beauty director and Thomas Engel was named sales-development manager.
Luis Lleonart was named vice president of the jewelry division of Eugene Biro Corp., New York, N.Y.
Linda M. Haley was appointed vice president of operations at Gem Case Inc., Cranston, R.I.
Fink’s Jewelers, Roanoke, Va., appointed Mark M. Bair vice president of operations and Walter C. Gaynor vice president of finance and administration.
Royal Doulton USA Inc., Somerset, N.J., appointed Cathryn Roe national sales specialist for the Royal Crown Derby and Minton products lines.
Judi Shechter-Lankford was named manager of the bookstore at the Gemological Institute of America, Santa Monica, Cal.
Joseph Wagner was named treasurer and Kenneth L. Just was named senior vice president of sales at Krementz & Co., Newark, N.J.
Charles (Chuck) Kiesel was named vice president of international sales and marketing for Leach & Garner/General Findings, North Attleboro, Mass.
Guido Giovannini-Torelli, president of Tryon Mercantile Inc., New York, N.Y., was included on the roster of individual consultants to the Asian Development Bank, an international financial institution that makes loans, promotes investment and provides technical assistance to member countries.
Sue C. Haire, formerly merchandising director/fine jewelry for Best Products, Richmond, Va., was named merchandising director/diamonds. Barbara A. Moffitt, formerly merchandising director/hardlines, is now merchandising director/fine jewelry.
Holli Perone-Thompson was promoted to vice president of Watches and Fine Jewelry at Chanel Inc., New York, N.Y.
Ron Remer was named Northeast multiline representative for Selco Custom Time Corp., Tulsa, Okla.

Winning honors from Seiko Corp. for fiscal 1994 were Peter Costa, Puerto Rico territory, Seiko Watch Salesperson of the Year; Bud Price, metropolitan Detroit, Seiko Clock Salesperson of the Year; Cal Broek, west, central Michigan and northern Indiana, Lassale Salesperson of the Year; and Lori Micallef, metropolitan New York, Merchandiser of the Year.
