ORT to recognize Schreiner
The Jewelry Industry Chapter of the American ORT will present Harriet Schreiner, executive vice president and general merchandise manager of Sterling Inc., with its Community Achievement Award Sept. 18.
The dinner at the Grand Hyatt in New York City will be cochaired by Terry Burman, chief executive officer of Sterling Inc., and Leslie Mann, vice president and general merchandise manager of Sears, Roebuck & Co.
Schreiner’s community service encompasses the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Morris Animal Foundation, Futures For Children (an organization for American Indian children) and support for breast cancer research.
She is a past member of Pasadena Heritage, the Norton Simon Museum, the Los Angeles County Art Museum, the Jewelers 24 Karat Club of South California, Organization of Women Executives of Los Angeles and the International Toastmistress Club.
Before assuming her current posi-tion at Sterling Inc. in May 1996, Schreiner was vice president of merchandise for Barry’s Jewelers in Monrovia, Cal.
