Where else but in Hong Kong would you expect to see the finest in jade jewelry design? The Hong Kong Jewelry and Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA) has announced the winners of its Grand Competition 2000, held in celebration of HKJJA’s 35th anniversary. The competition was initiated to inspire young designer talent, and to promote more modern and artistic use of traditional and culturally important jade. There were 187 drawings as well as 48 finished pieces up for the challenge.
Shown are three of the 14 beautifully designed and manufactured award-winning finished pieces.
