Elizabeth Florence, formerly the media liaison for the Jewelry Information Center (JIC), has been promoted to the newly created position of JIC director.
Florence will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of all publicity for JIC. Her appointment is in conjunction with the absorption by Jewelers of America of all membership and recruitment responsibilities for JIC, the public relations arm of the fine jewelry and watch industry.
Florence recently headed a holiday media blitz that included a 21-city satellite media tour showcasing watches, jewelry placements in consumer magazines, and radio and television appearances offering shopping tips for consumers.
