HONG KONG SHOW SET FOR MARCH

The Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will take place March 5-8. Approximately 900 exhibitors are expected.

A number of group pavilions will be returning, including those from Israel, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, and the United States. In addition, the International Colored Gemstone Association will have its own pavilion.

The show again will feature the Designer Jewellery Galleria, which is expected to draw plenty of attention with its display of designer and branded jewelry from around the globe. About 20 exhibitors are expected to unveil their collections.

Another feature returning to the show is the Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition. This year’s theme is “Cosmopolitan Design.” Three Best of Show awards will be presented, and the winning pieces will be showcased during the fair. Running parallel with the fair will be the International South Seas Pearl Jewellery Design Competition. The winning entries will be exhibited during the show.

A series of seminars also is scheduled. Among the associations hosting sessions are the World Gold Council, The Diamond High Council, and the Platinum Guild.
